My older sister Chrissy has been there for three months now and although she says it’s been all work and no play, this is my romantic vision of how she’s been living: black lacquer nails, satin, lace, daytime sequins and smoky, barely lit rooms with men in snappy suits.
Too bad it isn’t a movie from the 1940s. The coats are more puffa than camel hair and she claims it’s freezing, but Shanghai is still stylish. Chrissy’s living with the founder of Mary Ching and already has a shoe named after her...you can follow all of her adventures here!
