Lillian Bassman

I really enjoyed this piece about photographer Lillian Bassman.
One of my little dreams is to write a biography. She'd make an excellent subject.

A quick search led to A woman's camera in a woman's world, from Popular Photography, April 1951. To create the final picture on the right, 'she burned in the entire print, bit by bit, through a tiny hole in cardboard, painted dress dots'.

Read it all, it's very interesting.
